Evangelization and Catechesis

Picture
Given that the primary mission of the Church is to evangelize, the goals of the Archdiocese of Detroit will be to: Re-engage, renew, and re-invigorate in all Catholics our baptismal call to enthusiastically share Jesus in and through the New Evangelization. To actively seek to restore unity throughout the Archdiocese by advancing Jesus’ message of salvation through evangelizing those within as well as outside of the Catholic faith. To promote Gospel values in our society by recognizing the dignity of all people, the importance of the family, and Christian value advocacy.

Total Parish Evanglization, by Fr. Eduardo Montemayor, SOLT

On Wednesday, March 19, 2014 , the Monroe Vicariate Pastoral Council hosted a Lenten Evangelization Retreat at St. Mary Parish Life Center. This retreat was attended by parishioners, volunteers, PPC members and Commission members from every Monroe Vicariate parish.

Fr. Eduardo Montemayor, SOLT, Associate Director of Evangelization and Hispanic Ministry for the Archdiocese of Detroit presented Total Parish Evangelization, and explained how members of the Catholic faith can proclaim the Gospel to others.

Below is Fr. Eduardo’s presentation at the retreat. It is split into three parts. We hope you enjoy this presentation and find it helpful in your ministries as we are all called to evangelize our faith and share Christ with others.
